Elon Musk to organize ‘party hackathon’

Elon Musk Hackathon

Elon Musk, founder of tesla told that Tesla will hold a super fun AI party/hackathon at his house with the Tesla AI/autopilot team in about four weeks & invitations going out soon.  At the party there will also be the team in charge of the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) integrated in the company’s Autopilot, with the intention of improving autonomous driving.

Musk owns multiple houses in the Los Angeles area, spending around $100 million, according the Wall Street Journal. Having only seven mansions in Los Angeles alone, Musk did not specify which property will host the event. As Business Insider notes, the goal is also attracting talent to the team. “A PhD is definitely not required. All that matters is a deep understanding of AI & ability to implement NNs in a way that is actually useful (latter point is what’s truly hard). Don’t care if you even graduated high school.” Musk replied to the question ” Have I got time to get a quick PHD in AI in to secure an invite?”

For Tesla enthusiasts and customers, it remains to wait the next month to see if the goal will be met during the Musk party.
